“ Very friendly establishment and very delicious pho and egg rolls! I was in the mood for some spicy soup. Their chili oil on the table has a yummy lemongrass flavor that was unique and flavorful. I put it on everything. They also have a spicier chili oil that you can ask for - it had some serious heat! Will be back to try the banh mi sandwiches. ”
“ I got takeout from here and ordered the betel leaf wrap with grilled ground beef, chicken wings, and veggie fried rice. Everything was pretty tasty and fresh - I would get the pork instead of the beef wrap next time though. The chicken wings were a little bland but with lots of meat and not dry at least! The veggie fried rice was pretty flavorful. ”
“ I've been searching for a good Bahn Mi place since I've been back in Illinois. 88 Saigon did NOT disappoint!! I had the pork Banh Mi and the won ton soup. I ordered the sandwich without the jalapeños because sometimes they can really over power; this was almost perfection! Meat was tender and packed with flavor. Thanks Yelp for the recommendation!! ”
“ The food was flavorful and customizable to your liking with the chili oil and Sriracha that's on the table. The only thing bad to say was the meat was chewy and slightly over cooked. They had a lunch special that came with pho, two egg rolls and a soda for $17 which was an amazing deal! The crab Rangoons needed a little more filling in my opinion but very crispy and flavor is delicious Wasn't a huge fan of the potstickers. The service was good. the atmosphere was clean and workers were friendly. ”

The Basil Chicken is very good, but I wish the portion size was bigger. The restaurant is not a budget type of establishment, so I would expect a bigger portion size. “ We went for the pho, Bahn mi, and spring rolls. I've had a major gripe lately with restaurants that have "spring rolls" on the menu but serve egg rolls. Big dif. Yuge! Half a dozen couples were dining when we entered. They have four top tables and a half dozen more intimate booths in the back. Seating was prompt from a polite smiling hostess, and water and drink orders were taken quickly. After we perused the menu, we opted for our original intent. Sliced chicken pho, with the usual accompaniments, the "special" Bahn Mi, and spring rolls to start. The rolls came quickly and included a ramekin of a thick flavorful peanut sauce. Dispensers of hoisin and siracha are on each table. I also asked for soy. Each of the orders were too large to finish in one sitting, so we both ended up taking food home. It was all very fresh and delicious. The only tick was the sandwich came out quite a bit after the soup. Didn't put us off the experience, we'll be back. ”
